Start with the question, not the product.

Mouth taping means using an adhesive over the lips during sleep. The reason someone breathes through their mouth matters. A shopping decision cannot establish whether that person has a breathing problem or what care they need.

What the research can tell us.

A 2025 systematic review identified ten studies involving 213 participants. Findings varied, and many studies excluded people with nasal obstruction. The authors raised safety concerns and called for further research. That is a narrow evidence base, not a universal recommendation.

What it cannot tell us.

Results in selected study participants do not automatically apply to everyone. Nor do they establish benefits for Sleep Karma or any other product that was not studied. Claims about deep sleep, appearance, or broad health improvements require their own supporting evidence.

A more useful next step.

If you are investigating a sleep concern, bring the concern itself to a healthcare professional. Keep a record of what you notice, review the evidence, and resist treating a product as an answer to an undiagnosed problem.
