01 / A closer look
Look from the pillow.
Check the room from your usual sleeping position. Notice streetlight at the edges of curtains, light beneath a door, and the electronics facing the bed. Your room’s light sources may look different from that angle.
02 / A closer look
Work with the window you have.
Before buying new curtains, measure the window and note where light gets around the existing covering. Consider the width, mounting position, and how easily you can open it during the day.
03 / A closer look
Keep practical needs in mind.
Avoid covering ventilation or safety indicators. If you need light to move around at night, plan for that instead of prioritizing total darkness over a safe route through the room.
04 / A closer look
Change one thing.
Start with the most noticeable light source. Try the change for several nights, write down what you noticed, and keep it if it improves your comfort. There is no need to buy an entire bedroom at once.
